The Epiphone AJ 220S has a balanced sound thanks to its very good features with selected tone woods. This Western guitar in Gibson's Advanced Jumbo Form has a solid Sitka spruce top. The back and sides are made of mahogany, as is the sturdy mahogany neck. The rosewood fingerboard has 20 frets and is decorated with inlays. With its full, deep tone and brilliant highs, it is the ideal instrument for singer and songwriter . The contrast between bright, natural top and dark neck and bridge gives it a particularly attractive appearance. A tortoise-coloured pickguard protects this beautiful guitar from damage when using a plectrum.

When you think of Epiphone you naturally think of Gibson, since the maker of guitars, basses, amplifiers and accessories has been part of that company since 1957. Epiphone mainly offers instruments in the lower to mid price range. That means beginners can pick up electric guitar and bass classics such as Les Paul, SG, Explorer, Firebird, ES-335 or Thunderbird for little money. There are also instruments from earlier Epiphone eras like Casino, Wildkat, Riviera and Wilshire. In particular, Epiphone's beginner sets for electric guitar, acoustic guitar and electric bass are worth a close look for newcomers.

Wenn man eine Gitarre sucht für Feld-,Wald,-Wieseneinsätze. Sprich: Partys, Lagerfeuer etc., dann ist man mit der AJ-220S NA sicher gut bestückt. Für anspruchsvollere Ansätze (Studio, Stage etc.) reicht es natürlich nicht. Für diesen Preis jedenfalls, kann man nicht meckern und bekommt genau das, was man von einer günstigen Klampfe erwarten kann. Mit 12-er-Saiten bekommt man auch einen ganz brauchbaren Sound mit genügend Sustain zustande.
Ich habe die Gitarre aufgrund der Videos und Beschriebe des Herstellers ausgewählt und muss sagen, dass meine Erwartungen voll erfüllt sind. Die Gitarre müsste eigentlich 300-400 Fr./Euro mehr kosten ... Für den Preis wirklich ein tolles Instrument. Sehr angenehm zu spielen, gut verarbeitet und schöner voller Sound. ... also auch für langjährige Musiker empfehlenswert (nicht nur für Einsteiger)
