When you think of Epiphone you naturally think of Gibson, since the maker of guitars, basses, amplifiers and accessories has been part of that company since 1957. Epiphone mainly offers instruments in the lower to mid price range. That means beginners can pick up electric guitar and bass classics such as Les Paul, SG, Explorer, Firebird, ES-335 or Thunderbird for little money. There are also instruments from earlier Epiphone eras like Casino, Wildkat, Riviera and Wilshire. In particular, Epiphone's beginner sets for electric guitar, acoustic guitar and electric bass are worth a close look for newcomers.

Zuerst das Positive: Die Gitarre sieht schön aus. Lackierung super. Klang der Humbucker: super. Sogar etwas stärker als beim Original von Gibson. Und das Instrument ist am Gurt sehr gut in Balance, was für mich in meinem Alter besonders wichtig ist. Das Negative: Die Bundstäbchen sind an der Enden zum Teil recht scharfkantig und könnten ein bisschen besser poliert sein, stehen aber nicht über.
Als Custom Shop Liebhaber, muss ich sagen, diese Gitarre ist absolut grossartig! Und Preis/Leistung ungeschlagen!
Nicht nur ein edles und top verarbeitetes Instrument. Dieses neue ES-335er Modell von Epiphone kommt dem Original unglaublich nah, sowohl in Optik als auch in Klang. Sie liegt mit dem Rounded-C Hals sehr schön in der Hand und hat eine niedrige Saitenlage. Ich hatte vor Jahren mal das Original von Gibson zu eigen, leider dann aber verkauft und mich auf meine Gibson Les Paul u US-Strat beschränkt. Dann kam das Verlangen wieder nach einer ES. Wollte aber keine 2.500 € investieren. Um so überraschter war ich dann, dass dieses neue preiswerte EPI-Modell dem Original, wie ich finde, um nichts nachsteht und sieht absolut hochwertig aus. Absolute Kaufempfehlung. Eine Gitarre, „nach der man sich umdreht😀“, wie mein Bassist u mein Schlagzeuger sagten. Dem kann ich nur zustimmen.
