Epiphone Futura Les Paul Custom Midnight Ember Shift

Product information "Epiphone Futura Les Paul Custom Midnight Ember Shift"

The new guitars in Epiphone’s Futura series were developed for today’s guitarists who want an instrument that delivers professional performance and forward-thinking features. These Gibson-inspired models offer tone and style perfectly suited for live performance and recording. With striking colour-shifting finishes, brand-new pickups and versatile features like coil-splitting and phase switching, they deliver the look and sound modern players seek to stand out both sonically and visually. Additional high-performance features, including stainless steel frets, compound-radius fretboards and extremely comfortable neck profiles, make the Futura series truly innovative instruments and an essential part of any guitar collection.

The new Futura Les Paul Custom is a modern take on the iconic model with exciting new features for Les Paul aficionados worldwide. The mahogany body features "Ultra Modern" weight reliefs to make it lighter without compromising resonance and sustain, and is topped with a maple top to give the mahogany’s warm mids some extra top-end presence — in the spirit of the classic Les Paul tonewood recipe. The top features a 7-ply binding, while the back has a modern contoured heel neck joint to improve access to the upper frets. The guitar is fitted with a LockTone™ Tune-O-Matic™ bridge and a LockTone stop bar tailpiece for excellent intonation and sustain, and Posi-Lok™ strap buttons keep your strap secure without extra hardware. The set-in mahogany neck features a long neck tenon, an extremely comfortable, playable Modern-C profile and a bound ebony fretboard with 22 medium-jumbo stainless steel frets and elegant Super-400-style split-block mother-of-pearl inlays. The fretboard also has a 10–14" compound radius, making both chords and bends effortless. The bound Kalamazoo headstock is fitted with Grover® Rotomatic® locking tuners and a Graph Tech® nut, and is adorned with an Epiphone logo and the custom split-diamond mother-of-pearl inlay.

The Futura Les Paul Custom is powered by two new Epiphone ProBucker™ Ignite Humbucker™ pickups that can drive an amp hard when needed while retaining clarity. Push/pull controls for volume and tone offer coil-split and phase options for even more tonal variety. The Futura Les Paul Custom is available in two striking Chromashift colour-shift finishes: Midnight Ember Shift and Twilight Shift, both designed to shine on camera or on any stage.

About Epiphone

When you think of Epiphone you naturally think of Gibson, since the maker of guitars, basses, amplifiers and accessories has been part of that company since 1957. Epiphone mainly offers instruments in the lower to mid price range. That means beginners can pick up electric guitar and bass classics such as Les Paul, SG, Explorer, Firebird, ES-335 or Thunderbird for little money. There are also instruments from earlier Epiphone eras like Casino, Wildkat, Riviera and Wilshire. In particular, Epiphone's beginner sets for electric guitar, acoustic guitar and electric bass are worth a close look for newcomers.
