The James Hetfield Set is based on James Hetfield's long-time favorite EMG 81/60 combination. The JH Chrome Set is equipped with pole screws instead of the blades used in the standard version. The JH Set has also been updated sonically: the neck pickup is now tighter and punchier than the standard EMG 60 version, while the bridge pickup offers extended attack and an improved bass range.
