A few years ago, Electro Harmonix caused a sensation with the Satisfaction Fuzz - a scratchy vintage fuzz that authentically reproduced the legendary Maestro style sound of the Stone hit Satisfaction. Now Electro Harmonix has gone one better: the Satisfaction Plus pedal is a consistent further development of the classic. A BIAS control has been added, with which the bias voltage of the transistors can be regulated - from fat, singing fuzz to brutal saw and crumbly "dying battery" sounds. The basic sound can be fine-tuned with the active tone control. A cool feature is the Fat switch, which can be used to unleash an enormous boost in the bass - ideal for drop tunings.

My $150 Orange speaker sounds pretty good on standard mode! But when you switch to positive, the highs shift into old-school lows, and it reminds me a lot of 1969 garage rock! By adjusting the bias and attack, you can achieve an unrealistic sound with a Magnum 44 or BSP3, reminiscent of space rave rock from extraterrestrial times!
