A further newcomer to the Electro Harmonix Pico series: the Shimmer Cosmic Reverb delivers wild shimmer and ambient soundscapes of the highest order. There are 3 basic algorithms available that can also morph continuously: Intergalactic – a typical shimmer reverb in which the reverb tail is enriched with polyphonic octaves, delay, reverb and compression and string synthesis. Off-World: a rounder, softer shimmer effect with delayed modulation for synth-atmosphere sounds, and then Ehterdust – a Glitch Shimmer Reverb with random delay repeats and stutter-style granular sounds and glitch delays. All pots have a dual function for extended control options. As with Ocean 11, the Pico Shimmer pedal offers a Hold function: simply hold down the footswitch and the activated effect will be “frozen” for as long as the footswitch is held.
