The Boutique Muff at a bargain price! The "Godfather of Distortion" aka Big Muff is one of the most successful Distortion/Fuzz pedals of all time. Since its introduction in 1969 it has evolved into a true bestseller. The good old Muff has always been a worthwhile object for modifications and improvements. Many boutique effect manufacturers have their own Muff creations on offer. It was then no surprise that Electro Harmonix developed its own upper class version. A criticism of the BM was his frequency hole in the middle, the Deluxe Muff trumps here with a semi-parametric mid control with switchable slope which can be activated via footswitch or remote controlled via expression pedal (wah sounds). Also new is the Attack control, which can add a bit of salt and pepper on the compressed sound when attack is applied with the pick. The noise at high gain settings can be fought more effectively with the internal noise gate. Whoever previously just didn't tend to get on with the Muff should try this one out.
