In addition to his legendary Foxrox Octron Octaver, he has always had a knack for first-class distortion sounds - pedals such as the sought-after Crest Audio Fuzz Face or his modular ZIM pedal are proof of this. The latest creation is the FR 100 Dual Stacked Overdrive - basically a two-channel overdrive pedal with several basic sounds. The Drive stage delivers transparent, round overdrive from almost clean to rich crunch. If you activate the Lead footswitch, an additional gain stage is added to the Drive channel, which enables sounds ranging from heavy crunch to singing lead. The secret weapon is the Voice switch: the High position cleans up the bass range and emphasises the mids - ideal for tops with a 4x12" cabinet or amps with a pronounced bass range. The Mid position does not affect the basic sound, ideal for transparent overdrive sounds. Position Low delivers fat, warm overdrive sounds - ideal for breathing life into a small combo. The pedal reacts excellently to the volume pot of the guitar or to the velocity. The current version has been updated: the internal trim pot has been replaced by a fixed, practice-orientated resistance value and the true bypass is switched via FET transistors without clicks or noise.
