The Duke Student BT is a modern classical guitar thanks to a CITES-free selection of woods and an innovative thermo spruce top. The semi-solid body made of Bocote is not subject to the provisions of the Washington Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species that came into force on 02.01.2017. In addition, a seasoned thermo spruce has been used as the top wood. This artificial ageing process positively influences the tonal character and makes the wood less susceptible to moisture fluctuations. The black ebony fretboard completes this special classical guitar from the Student range perfectly.
Based on the latest research findings, the spruce top from the alpine highlands of the Swiss canton of Graubünden has been treated with a thermo-vacuum process. This artificial ageing process positively influences the tonal character and makes the wood less susceptible to moisture fluctuations. In addition, the wood gains a pleasant warm colour.
