The Nord Stage 4 features a brand-new panel design with dedicated LED faders for each layer, providing exceptional overview and flexibility when creating sounds and performing live. The new Preset Library is packed with inspiring, ready-to-use piano, synth and organ sounds for quick and smooth patch creation.
With the layer scene you can switch seamlessly between two different sound setups at the touch of a key. With the new, powerful effects section, versatile pedal options and the high-quality Triple Sensor keybed, the Nord Stage 4 offers a new level of musical expression.
The Nord Stage 4 comes with an expanded new collection of grand pianos, uprights and electric pianos from our exclusive Nord Piano Library, combined with new features such as Dynamic Compression and Unison.
The synth section, with its three independent layers, is based on the powerful Nord Wave 2 synth engine, which includes virtual-analogue synthesis, samples, FM and digital waves. An extensive new collection of samples from the Nord Sample Library provides a broad sonic palette of strings, basses, choirs, guitars and much more. The advanced arpeggiator offers new polyphonic, gate and pattern modes and can be used for a variety of rhythmic applications with customisable patterns.
The organ section offers our award-winning simulations of B3 tonewheel, B3 bass, classic Vox and Farfisa as well as two pipe organ models. All Stage 4 models are equipped with our new Physical Drawbars with LED indicators, providing an optimal hands-on experience and clear overview.
The Nord Stage 4 features a powerful new effects section that provides a complete effects setup for each layer. The extensive range of effects includes a new Pump effect for tempo-synced or pedal-controlled side-chain modulation, a new Spin effect and brand-new variations of reverb, delay, amp and modulation effects.
The new OS update for Nord Stage 4 is now available. The 1.06 update can be downloaded from the manufacturer's website free of charge and offers a number of improvements and new features.

From now on you can use the highly praised Spitfire String Quintet library, a world-class collection full of character and detail covering all important articulations, on your Nord keyboard.
The string quintet consists of two violins, viola, cello and double bass and also includes the playing techniques: soft, flautando, marcato, staccato and pizzicato.

Clavia is a Swedish manufacturer of electronic musical instruments based in Stockholm, founded in 1983 by Hans Nordelius. After initially producing drum machines and e-drum kits, Clavia has focused on keyboard instruments since the release of the Nord Lead in 1995, such as stage pianos and synthesizers. Clavia instruments are appreciated not only for their sound quality but also for their solid build and long product support.
The Nord Lead and the Nord Wave are virtual-analogue synthesizers, the latter being sample-based. The Nord Stage is a stage piano that, in addition to a synthesizer section, also offers first-class emulations of well-known pianos, organs and other keyboard instruments such as the Hammond B3, Vox Continental, Fender Rhodes or Wurlitzer.
The Nord Electro is a stripped-down version of the Nord Stage that omits the synthesizer section. With the Nord Piano 5, Clavia brings a new stage piano to the market aimed particularly at pianists thanks to its remarkably realistic keyboard. The Clavia Nord stage pianos are available with 73, 76 or 88 keys. Thanks to the Nord Sound Library, the sounds on all current Nord instruments can be exchanged freely and free of charge. At session you'll find various Clavia instruments and matching accessories such as stands for digital pianos, music stands, pedals for keyboard instruments and bags and cases for keyboard instruments.

Die Erwartungen an das Nord Stage waren hoch: Nebst vielen Stage Pianos und Workstations anderer Hersteller sollte es mal eine Alternative sein. Die Erwartungen wurden klar erfüllt, auch wenn es schon etwas Einarbeitung braucht, um das Potential des Geräts zu nutzen. Immerhin: Innerhalb von 5 Minuten war das Gerät nach Lieferung ausgepackt, aufgestellt und war mit einem amtlichen Sound spielbereit.
Klangerzeugung überzeugt. Halbpedal, Sostenuto, Soft-Pedal, String-Resonanzen perfekt, Anschlag vorbildlich. Die Synthklänge vielseitig. Auf die Orgel könnt' ich verzichten, trotzdem eine sehr Runde Sache. Die Bedienung ist extrem intuitiv und für live-Performances unschlagbar effizient. (Ein Studium der Betriebsanleitung lohnt sich!).
Beschrieben ist das Stage 4 genug. Ich finde, ein gutes Investment. Sehr gutes Konzept und klingt einfach super auf allen Kanälen.
