The British Pedal Company Compact Series Zonk Machine is a compact, modern recreation of the original Zonk Machine MKI pedal, developed by Wilsic Sound for John Hornby Skewes and produced in Leeds, England from 1965 to 1966. The design and circuit topology of the three-transistor Zonk Machine is very similar to the MKI Tone Bender (designed by Gary Hurst), but the modified circuit offers a slightly different, tighter sound with less low end and more boost than the Tone Bender. Due to the limited production run, originals are extremely rare and rank among the most sought-after pedals in the world.

The British Pedal Company brings together a team of designers and developers with over 60 years of experience in the music industry.
