Product information "Bourgeois Guitars SD - Standard AT Adirondack Mahogany Sunburst"
The Bourgeois Guitars Aged Tone The Standard Slope-D is a real standout when you're looking for a well‑sounding slope‑shoulder dreadnought with a classic look. The classic tonewood pairing of a spruce top and mahogany back and sides delivers a woody, balanced tonal character. The top of American red spruce (Adirondack spruce) contributes to a full, powerful sound and responds faster than, for example, a Sitka spruce top. The Full Aged Tone Package features an ultra‑thin nitro finish that doesn't restrict the wood's vibration, giving the instrument an open, resonant and clear tone. Through the ageing process the Bourgeois Guitars Aged Tone The Standard Slope-D already sounds as if it has been played for decades. The vintage feel is perfectly rounded off by the understated design, herringbone binding and vintage‑style tuners. On top of that there's a slim mahogany neck with an ebony fretboard, which completes the playing feel of the Bourgeois Guitars Aged Tone The Standard Slope-D.

The company Bourgeois Guitars is renowned for the handcrafted production of steel-string acoustic guitars of the highest calibre. All instruments belong to the absolute premium segment. Dana Bourgeois founded Bourgeois Guitars in 1992 after he developed a passion for learning about and building high-quality guitars while studying at Bowdoin College in Maine. He built his own guitars in the early 1970s and opened a small shop in Maine in 1977, where he worked as a luthier and repairer.
Over the years Bourgeois Guitars has earned an outstanding reputation, as the company places great emphasis on genuine craftsmanship and an excellent tone. Only first-rate, carefully selected materials are used for the instruments, because quality always comes first. The brand also impresses with its variety, offering guitarists many different models to choose from, including dreadnoughts, OM models, jumbos and more. Bourgeois guitars are not simply acoustic guitars, but lovingly crafted works of art.
