The new flagship! Since the first working guitar synthesiser saw the light of day in 1977, Roland/Boss has been the absolute number 1 when it comes to synth sounds with the guitar. After the inexpensive and successful SY-1, now comes the high-end full control in the form of the SY-1000 Guitar Synthesiser. Modern high-end custom processors and advanced GK processing enable latency-free operation without tracking problems. In terms of data transmission, Boss uses the tried and tested GK pickup system. A sound patch can consist of up to 3 independent synth sections: the Dynamic Synth offers 10 oscillator waveforms, 6 filter types, 2 LFOs and 2 step sequencers. The OSC Synth is a classic analogue synth and is based on the legendary GR-300 from the early 80s (heard on Andy Summers/The Police and Pat Matheny). There are also various modellings of classic electric, acoustic and bass guitars, each with individual tuning, EQ settings and matching amp modelling. The internal effects section corresponds to the familiar GT-1000. The SY-1000 can also be triggered directly with a conventional guitar pickup, but Roland recommends the GK-3 or GK-3B pickups for fast, interference-free operation.

Hallo liebe Leute, gerne möchte ich dem BOSS SY-1000 Gitarren-Synthesizer 4 von 5 mögliche Sternen geben. Ein tolles Gerät, vermisse aber ein wenig die Klangvielfalt vom Roland GR-55, ist halt mehr auf Synthklänge bedacht worden. Wie beim Roland Gitarren-Synthesizer musste ich zuerst die Patches-Lautstärke auf 200 bringen damit sich die Instrumente beim Spielen in einem Mix auch durchsetzen können, also etwas Programmiererei vornehmen, das ging aber leicht da man das am PC-Bildschirm sämtliche Parameter einstellen kann. Bin also sehr zufrieden damit und freue mi:h sehr eigene Klangwelten kreieren zu können :o)
