The ST. James 50 6L6 H Fawn head has a lot to offer: for the first time, a switching power supply is used in conjunction with a real tube amp - weight reduction is a major feature of the ST. James series. The amp offers 2 channels, a clean channel with brilliant highs and clearly defined lows with great clean headroom. The lead channel has a modern high-gain board and traditional passive tone control that can be boosted if needed. But the amp also has "inner values" under the hood: aboard is a reactive load with cab rig speaker simulator and USB interface for silent recording applications. The output power of the power amp can be reduced from 50 to 2 watts, and the SAG control can be used to influence the power amp saturation.
