The pieces in this album are all among my personal favourite compositions. The modern impressions are largely very rhythmical, sometimes a little "quirky", but also romantic and reminiscent of film music as well as Ludovico Einaudi, Yann Tiersen, Philip Glass or Yiruma. "Valenthins Klavieralbum" is intended as a motivating supplementary repertoire to standard piano method books. The pieces offer a great sonic experience with comparatively easy to medium technical difficulty. Important skills can be acquired, such as the independence of both hands and bringing out the melody, which should always remain in the foreground and be subordinate to the accompaniment. Of course everyone has the opportunity to discover the pieces for themselves and to interpret them personally according to ability and taste.
