Jens Rupp is known as the author of successful piano and keyboard methods as well as numerous songbooks for piano. With this experience and almost 30 years as a piano teacher, he has created a new piano method that provides a child-friendly, playfully easy introduction to the world of piano playing. "Der PianoStarter für Kinder" is a method for beginners specially designed for children from 6 years. The methodological concept, with its logically structured layout and carefully coordinated lessons, leads to audible and motivating successes at the piano even with a small amount of practice.

With the "Der PianoStarter für Kinder" children have the opportunity to discover their musical talent and to learn to love playing the piano in an easy way. A total of 100 pieces – well-known songs (with lyrics) and delightful original compositions, exercises, explanations, finger diagrams and other orientation aids – gently and playfully convey the basics of making music at the piano. This method also gives parents the opportunity, with or initially without a piano teacher, to learn to play the piano alongside their child and at the same time find out how much joy piano playing brings to their child.

"Der PianoStarter für Kinder" is limited to the key of C major and initially to the notes of the C major basic position. In the treble clef these are the notes c', d', e', f', g' and in the bass clef the notes c, d, e, f, g. The pitch range in the treble clef is extended towards the end of the method by the notes a', b' and c'', while in the bass clef two additional notes, the large B and the small a, are added. The gentle approach is intended to avoid any overstrain for your child so that child-appropriate and didactically valuable learning is possible.
