“PIANO fantastico” comprises 26 imaginative, short pieces for piano, suitable for children from age 6 and already from the second year of lessons! Each piece opens up a unique, characteristic sound world that stimulates the imagination of young pianists and encourages experimenting and practising. In this way children learn a variety of musical styles from around the world and from different eras in a playful way. At the same time, “PIANO fantastico” deliberately avoids the technical pitfalls that, in the experience of young beginners, typically lead to problems and frustration. All pieces use positional fingering within the five‑finger system, while frequent position changes aid orientation and train the mobility of the hands on the keyboard. This makes the book the ideal supplement to standard course books, and it is also suitable for any kind of recital situation. To simplify selecting pieces for different development stages, the pieces are approximately arranged by difficulty.
