The album “Meine schönsten Klavierträume” consists of 27 easy-to-play pieces influenced by various styles and aims to take the player on a musical journey through enchanting sound- and imagery-filled landscapes. It contains classical elements in the style of Mozart and Beethoven, romantic and Celtic music as well as influences from film music, pop and rock. The compositions are suitable for piano lessons from the second year onwards – for children from 8 years old, teenagers and adults – and are arranged according to difficulty levels.
At the beginning the pieces are very easy and gradually become more demanding as the book progresses. The keys used are the easier major keys C, G, F and the simple minor keys Am, Em, Dm. The compositions, presented in large notation, mostly span two pages, contain memorable melodies and are therefore easy to learn. Despite their simplicity, these little works sound exceptionally beautiful and complete. The classical elements are incorporated into the pieces in a modern way and – especially in the left-hand accompaniment – provide a very good preparation for the “bigger” classical compositions of the “old masters”. They also offer an ideal introduction to film and pop/rock music and give everyone the chance to discover the pieces for themselves and interpret them in a personal way.
With “Meine schönsten Klavierträume” composer Jens Rupp has created another “treasure chest” of beautiful, catchy piano music that meaningfully complements work with a classical method and invites both pianists and listeners to dream.
