In this continuation the material already learned is further deepened and playing skills as well as theoretical knowledge in the classical and modern fields are expanded. In the fourth piano method new learning content is introduced such as the keys A-flat major, D-flat major, G-flat major, E major, B major and F-sharp major, sus chords, further ornaments, the chromatic scale, chord symbols and chord numbering as well as the lead sheet. Further topics include the presentation of the tonic, subdominant and dominant parallels, the chords of the melodic minor scale and the diminished seventh chord. The student is also supported by illustrations of the keyboard, which make orientation easier.

The musical study pieces sound very appealing and are motivating, therefore “Meine vierte Klavierschule!” is once again worth a musical journey as a playing book. It contains, in line with the learning content, original compositions by the author as well as well-known “classical” works by Grieg, Mozart, Clementi, Chopin and Schumann. Medium-difficulty boogie-woogie, jazz, rock and blues pieces also provide great musical variety and a solid foundation in the different styles. With this continuation the presentation of all major keys is completed and further extensive knowledge in harmony theory is conveyed. “Meine vierte Klavierschule!” lays the foundations for further study in all musical styles.

Jens Rupp has worked as a piano instructor for over 30 years. With this experience he has created another method that unites his previous teaching methods and positive experiences as a teacher. With “Meine erste Klavierschule!” and the continuations “Meine zweite Klavierschule!”, “Meine dritte Klavierschule!” and “Meine vierte Klavierschule!” a modern and fundamentally didactically thought-out series of method books has emerged, which is easy to understand and logically comprehensible for students and teachers. Through carefully graded lessons the basics for classical and modern piano music are taught gently – thoroughly, tonally motivating and effectively. It also contains many new compositions that lead the student with great joy and purpose to successful piano playing.
