With “Einfach Klaviernoten lernen für Anfänger” Jens Rupp presents a method aimed at children aged 8 and up, adults and returning players. It is a valuable supplement to common piano tutor books and provides an ultra-easy introduction to the world of piano notation and the art of reading music. At first many learners find it difficult to read notes because keyboard instruments are played in two different clefs. To learn the notes of the treble and bass clefs “simultaneously” takes time, patience and practice. For this reason it is important to repeatedly focus on the notes and to get to know them with motivation and enjoyment using this method.
“Einfach Klaviernoten lernen für Anfänger” consists of three parts. The first part deals exclusively with the treble clef and introduces and practises the notes from middle C (c') to C''' (three‑lined C) as well as the small B. Once you have mastered reading music in the treble clef, it is relatively easy to learn the notes of the bass clef, since these are merely shifted up by two notes relative to the treble clef. The second part introduces the bass clef and the notes from low C up to middle C (c'). In the third and final part the notes of the treble and bass clefs are presented in the usual notation system for keyboard instruments (grand staff), further deepening and optimising your note‑reading ability.
