With the CDJ-1500X, AlphaTheta expands its portfolio with a new DJ multi-player suited to a wide range of applications — from bars and small clubs to any environment where professional features, flexibility and a space-saving design are required.

The CDJ-1500X combines all the qualities that make DJ players especially popular in bars and venues. Thanks to the separate-player concept it offers high flexibility and can be easily combined with various equipment, including turntables and your preferred mixer, to create the perfect setup. At the same time the multi-player includes numerous professional features and inherits the high quality and user-friendliness of the flagship CDJ-3000X.

Its compact design makes the CDJ-1500X ideal for smaller DJ booths and a large variety of setups. Furthermore, the separate-player concept offers practical advantages such as easy maintenance and straightforward replacement. Integrated Wi‑Fi enables access to cloud-based music libraries via rekordbox CloudDirectPlay, so you can always work with your up-to-date music library — independent of USB sticks. The CDJ-1500X is also the first player to support CoBeat, a new service for direct audience interaction and for receiving track requests straight to the CDJ's screen.

Compact design – ideal for smaller DJ booths

The CDJ-1500X was specifically developed for compact DJ booths and is perfect for bars, small clubs and home setups. Although it carries many key features of the flagship CDJ-3000X, the new multi-player occupies a significantly smaller footprint. This makes it easy to integrate in tight spaces and to combine flexibly with turntables or other equipment to build personalised setups.

10.1-inch touchscreen and improved track display

The CDJ-1500X features the capacitive 10.1-inch touchscreen from the CDJ-3000X, enabling intuitive performances and smooth track selection.

The browse screen displays up to 15 tracks at once, so more music is visible at a glance and the next track can be found faster. Waveform previews additionally help you grasp a song's structure immediately and choose tracks that suit the flow of a set.

The main waveform display includes visual markers for vocal positions, BPM changes and phrase structures. This makes it easier to understand a track's progression quickly and to plan mixing during a performance more securely.

With Playlist Edit you can rearrange tracks directly on the CDJ within playlists — without having to return to your laptop or mobile device or re-export tracks to a USB stick.

Selectable dark and light display modes keep on-screen content clearly visible under a variety of conditions — from dark club booths to bright rooms or outdoor events in daylight.

Cloud connectivity and NFC login

Access to cloud-based rekordbox libraries as well as millions of tracks from streaming services is available directly on the CDJ-1500X. Via integrated Wi‑Fi you can play tracks through rekordbox CloudDirectPlay and stream songs from platforms such as Apple Music, Beatport Streaming and Tidal via StreamingDirectPlay.

Personal settings and playlists can be retrieved instantly via NFC touch login by holding a mobile device with the rekordbox app (iOS/Android) near the CDJ. Combined with cloud connectivity, this enables a highly mobile setup where a smartphone alone is enough to start playing from your music library.

New CoBeat service enables more audience interaction

If you like to interact with the crowd on the dancefloor and involve them, you'll appreciate the CDJ-1500X — it is the first AlphaTheta multi-player to support the new CoBeat service, which brings the audience more directly into the performance.

By scanning a QR code — created in advance by the DJ or venue — the audience gains access to a catalogue of pre-selected tracks. Guests can vote on which songs should be played or send additional track requests. All information is collected directly on the CDJ-1500X and displayed in the browse screen so that requests can be integrated into the set immediately. Visitors can also add emojis to other people's requests and share the vibe on the dancefloor in real time. These reactions appear as pop-ups on the DJ's smartphone and make it easier to gauge the crowd's mood during a performance.

CoBeat can be turned on or off at any time — depending on whether you want song requests or prefer to focus on your own mix.

Adaptable design for a variety of setups With its minimalist user interface and matte-black finish, the CDJ-1500X blends seamlessly into a wide range of setups and environments. At the front there is an illuminated compartment with two USB ports (1 × Type-C, 1 × Type-A) to facilitate connection of USB drives and

keep them neatly stowed so they are not accidentally pulled out during a performance or in a busy DJ booth. Twelve colours are available for the LED illumination to match the atmosphere of a gig. In addition, screw holes at the sides of the player allow mounting of optional panels for customising the design with different colours and materials.
