Product information "Maton SRS 808"
The Maton SRS808 features a solid Blackwood body and a spruce top. The SRS808 is an absolutely impressive small guitar that combines the warm, full-bodied tone of Blackwood with the clarity of a spruce top.
A forward-shifted X-bracing and the relocation of the scalloping points to specific nodal areas around the soundboard help to enhance the top's vibration. Shifting the X-bracing also allowed for the addition of a second, parallel bar that distributes the wood's load evenly while reducing the guitar's overall mass.
The new 808 series sounds much bigger than a small-bodied guitar should.
The result of this development is a guitar that surprises the player on the first strike and then continues to impress as they play on, since every aspect of the guitar's sound meets and exceeds the player's expectations.
