Engl E725 Ravager IR Head
Engl E725 Ravager IR Head
20-watt tube power meets modern IR technology
The ENGL E725 Ravager IR Head is the perfect solution for guitarists who want to combine classic tube tone with modern flexibility. In its compact lunchbox format it hides a true sonic giant: 20 watts of tube power, two channels and a feature set that convinces both in the studio and on stage.
Everything on board!
From tube tone to IR technology
Equipped with 2 x ECC83 (12AX7) in the preamp and 2 x EL84 in the power amp, the Ravager IR delivers a dynamic response and rich, harmonic overtones. The clean channel impresses with brilliant clarity, while the lead channel covers everything from crunch to aggressive distortion.
A real highlight is the built-in IR loader. In addition to a factory impulse response there are three user-assignable slots that can be conveniently filled with your own IRs via USB. That makes the amp an ideal solution for recording and silent practice without having to compromise on authentic cabinet sound.
The Ravager IR is thoughtfully laid out when it comes to connections: the XLR output provides a direct route to the mixing desk or audio interface, while the headphone output allows for quiet practice at any time. Thanks to the built-in Power Soak, the output can be flexibly reduced to 20, 5 or 1 Watt or muted completely – perfect for full tube saturation at any volume.
The ENGL E725 Ravager IR is thus a true all-round tool for modern guitarists – compact, flexible and sonically top-class. Best of all: check out Pascal's test and hear for yourself what this amp can do.

With the introduction of the world’s first fully programmable tube amp in 1984 at the Frankfurt Music Fair, Engl set new standards and repeatedly made headlines in amp development with special innovations such as the Master A/B or the Tube Monitoring System. With the new Sound Wizard Module the German high-end amp maker launched another great innovation in 2014. Confirmation of this comes from the many world-renowned guitarists who rely on the passion, the sound and the quality of these exceptional guitar amplifiers, such as Ritchie Blackmore with his signature amp. Engl will continue to stand for unique innovations, outstanding designs and amps "Made in Germany"!
