Product information "Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro MKII"
The open studio headphone DT 1990 PRO MKII from Beyerdynamic offers an improved, slightly more neutral sound compared to its predecessor Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro 250 Ohm, increased wearing comfort thanks to a fontanel cutout and, due to the significantly reduced impedance, compatibility with almost any device.
In addition, the DT 1990 PRO MKII scores — as is customary for Beyerdynamic headphones — with industry-leading build quality.
The headphone, manufactured in Germany, uses the newly developed Tesla driver technology TESLA.45, which guarantees high signal fidelity, low distortion and very good transient response.
Whether mixing, mastering, editing or demanding music listening — the Beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO MKII is an excellent choice!

Perfect sound is our yardstick
In 1924 Eugen Beyer founded his own company to build cinema loudspeakers. The "Elektrotechnische Fabrik Eugen Beyer" thus developed into a world‑leading producer of microphones, headphones, headsets and conference systems.
With the highest standards of quality, engineers in Germany have been designing, testing and producing outstanding sound for almost 100 years. The in‑house developed Tesla technology ushers in a new era of headphones and is a unique selling point for Beyerdynamic in a highly competitive market. The drivers, redesigned from the ground up, feature an extremely strong magnetic drive and low‑colouration reproduction. Named after Nikola Tesla, the pioneer of alternating current, Tesla technology enables flexible applications and opens a new dimension in headphone listening pleasure.
The right headphone for the right application
Beyerdynamic divides its headphone range into the areas: at home, on the go, high‑end, broadcast, studio, gaming and home office. Whatever application you choose, many of the products feature technology from the latest generation. Whether hi‑fi headphones or studio headphones—features such as Tesla technology, Active Noise Cancelling (ANC), limiters or Bluetooth can be found in many models. With MOSAYC sound personalisation the headphone can be tuned to the user's individual listening taste and custom settings can be created.
Sought‑after models: products from the Beyerdynamic DT series are consistently popular and in high demand. Examples include the DT 770 Pro and DT 880 Pro.
Microphones, systems and series
For a wide range of applications there are wireless or wired solutions. Whether for speech, stage, presentation, studio recording, video conferencing or broadcasting, the live and studio microphones leave little to be desired. Polar patterns range from cardioid, supercardioid and hypercardioid to omnidirectional and figure‑of‑eight.
For practically every instrument type—string instruments, wind instruments, guitar, percussion, drums and keyboards—there is the right transducer. The Beyerdynamic TG series, in particular the clip‑on microphones TG D57c and TG D58c, are very popular.
We also offer the appropriate product for measurements and calibration. For example the MM‑1, which is available here in our shop.
