Schagerl Ganschhorn
Schagerl Ganschhorn
Contrary to what the name might suggest, the Ganschhorn is a B-flat trumpet developed in collaboration with Thomas Gansch. The most notable feature of this instrument is the built-in rotary-valve mechanism. This combines the short airways of a rotary-valve instrument with the handling of a Périnet (piston) trumpet. The upward-angled bell not only improves contact with the audience or a microphone, it also makes the Ganschhorn a real eye-catcher.
The instrument is available in a standard or heavy variant. The standard variant offers a medium-large valve casing and a gold-brass bell with a diameter of 130 millimetres. In addition to the heavy medium-large valve casing, the heavy variant offers a choice of gold-brass bell diameters of 132 or 137 millimetres.
