The L12next combines the power of a digital mixer with analogue control. Three knobs per channel provide high/mid/low EQ, and with a simple switch you can adjust gain, pan and sends – for tactile mixing like on a classic analogue console.

The L12next's upgraded preamps deliver clean gain (+70 dB), low self-noise (–128 dBu EIN) and high input flexibility with Hi-Z and PAD switching plus +48 V phantom power.

A recorder for every session

The L12next offers advanced recording features and records up to 14 tracks at 24-bit/96 kHz plus a stereo mix. Its new OLED screen simplifies control and setup of the recording.

For perfect takes

Features such as overdub mode and auto punch in/out allow precise layered recording and easy re-takes. With the new track-select button you can easily load additional tracks to expand your mix.

Your final mix is ready!

The L12next master channel records your mix in 32-bit float, ensuring an uncoloured, overload-free sound. At the same time the master compressor optimises the overall mix with warm, natural compression.

Five personalised mixes

Thanks to five independent monitor outputs, each musician can have their own personalised mix. The outputs are flexible for live or studio use, supporting stereo operation for headphones and in-ear systems as well as mono operation for stage monitors.

For the front-of-house engineer

Via the engineer output you can quickly monitor and adjust the master and any monitor output mix. The built-in talkback function ensures easy communication between the engineer and the musicians.

Load custom scenes

The L12next provides up to 10 scene memory slots that each store all fader positions, EQ, pan and mute settings, effects and more. Load mixes in an instant for live shows or studio sessions.

LED level meters

The L12next's LED meters show each channel's volume level and the position of the rotary encoder. The new fader-position switch lets you quickly restore saved fader positions when loading scenes.

Refine your sound with 16 onboard effects such as delays and reverbs, adjustable via two easily accessible parameter knobs.

Audio interface + controller

The L12next is a USB audio interface with 14 inputs and 4 outputs for Mac, Windows and mobile devices. It supports recording and playback at 24-bit/96 kHz. You can record simultaneously to a computer and an SD card, sync tracks and even control your DAW.

Hands-free operation

Connect the optional Zoom FS01 footswitch to control functions such as effect mute, punch-in/out and playback.

• Inputs – The combo inputs support XLR or 6.3 mm connectors. Channels 1 and 2 offer Hi-Z inputs for connecting an electric guitar or bass. Channels 9/10 and 11/12 feature TS line inputs for keyboards and other audio devices.
• Channel strip – In addition to the 60 mm faders, each channel has three multifunction encoder knobs that let you control gain, EQ, compression, panning and sends in an analogue-style way.
• Function selector switch – Choose which parameters are accessible via the multifunction encoder knobs, e.g.: EQ, gain, sends
• Custom mixes – Five active headphone outputs can send individual monitor submixes to headphones, in-ear monitors or active monitor speakers. The main outputs have XLR connectors for easy connection to your PA.
• Recording features – Quick access to advanced recording functions such as mixdown, overdub and autopunch.
• Main control – Use the LED screen and encoder knob to access the menu system to create new projects, recall previous projects and adjust your recorder settings.
• Scene control – Save up to ten different scenes and recall your custom settings automatically. Each scene stores fader position, EQ settings, pan, mute and more.
• Talkback mic – The engineer can use the talkback mic to speak directly to the artists from the mixer.
• Fader position – The "Fader Position" button lets you quickly show the saved fader positions when recalling scenes.
• EFX – 16 onboard effects with fully adjustable parameters. Choose from delay and reverb effects and then apply them to any channel.
