Product information "Marshall JCM-800 Reissue 2203 Modified Master Volume Head"
We present the Marshall JCM-800 Reissue 2203 Modified Master Volume Head, a modern reincarnation of the beloved Marshall JCM-800 head. What makes the JCM-800 2203 Vintage Reissue head special is its simplicity. Used by artists around the world, this amp remains one of Marshall's best. Its distinctive 100-watt roar can be heard on numerous influential albums and has earned it legendary status in the rock world. Equipped with a master volume and a serial effects loop, the new modified Marshall JCM-800 gives you full control over your sound.
Since its debut the Marshall JCM-800 has been hand-built at the factory in Bletchley, England and is still available today as part of the Marshall Vintage Reissue series. Originally fitted with a single channel and no reverb, the JCM-800 became a flagship amp with a powerful, aggressive sound. It shaped the sound of an era and was chosen by many rock and metal bands as their preferred amplifier. All the classic features that made this amp so popular have been retained and combined in the latest version of the JCM800 with modern elements such as a sonically transparent serial effects loop.
The JCM-800 is one of the few vintage reissues equipped with a master volume control. This feature lets you achieve tube saturation at lower volume levels. This is particularly useful for playing and practising at home, as this distortion contributes to a warm and appealing tone even when the volume is turned down. By combining all these elements, a more versatile and user-friendly amp is created that is always ready to add extra power to your solo moments.
This Marshall reissue also introduces a serial effects loop. You can insert all effects between the preamp and the power amp to give your effects extra clarity — especially useful and popular when you crank the amp's distortion.
The extremely flexible EQ settings allow this amp to cover a wide range of genres, not just the rock or heavy metal it is known for. Whatever style you choose, the JCM-800 will stand by you on every note.
