Design and construction
The body is available in alder, ash or mahogany and in classic Fender finishes as well as in bold, modern colours. This Fender Player II Stratocaster MN features an ash body with tone chambers and an Aged Cherry Burst finish that’s further enhanced by a high-gloss urethane coating. The body is joined to a bolt-on maple neck with a refined satin finish. The maple fretboard and a nut width of 1.650" (42 mm) provide comfortable playability. Everything about the neck is geared toward fast, fluid playing — from the modern "C" profile with a silky-matte urethane finish on the back to the comfortable 9.5" radius of the maple fretboard with rolled edges and 22 medium-jumbo frets.

The Fender Player Series Alnico V single-coil Strat pickups deliver a clear, articulate tone that brings your music to life. The pickup selector lets you choose between five different tonal options so you can craft your own voice. With the 5-way blade switch you can dial in everything from the glass-clear clean of the neck pickup to the biting edge of the bridge pickup and everything in between. The Fender Player Series Alnico V single-coil Strat pickups, together with a master volume and two tone controls, give you a wide palette of sounds.
