The Eastman MD615-GB is an F-Style Bluegrass mandolin with a flamed maple body and a spruce top. A flamed maple neck with a 23-fret ebony fretboard ensures optimal playability. The Eastman MD615-GB impresses not only with its fully solid construction and its excellent tone, but also with its distinctive looks: the Goldburst finish gives it a very special appearance.
A Bluegrass icon, and with good reason: F-style or Florentine mandolins are the epitome of fine craftsmanship and beauty. The intricately carved scroll gives the instrument additional stability, helping the standing player to retain balance. Mandolins with F-holes are also known to offer more trebles and a more percussive tone than instruments with oval soundholes. The guitar workshop Eastman Guitars has its origins in the company Eastman Strings. Eastman Strings was founded in 1992 by Qian Ni in Beijing and originally started with the handcrafted production of high-quality violins, violas, cellos and double basses.
