The StarCrash pedal comes from the '70s Collection and is Catalinbread's interpretation of the classic 70s Fuzz Face circuitry. The StarCrash pedal does without a fuzz pot, the fuzz range is fixed. With the bias control, the input voltage of the 2nd transistor is turned down, which allows you to create the iconic "dying battery" sounds. Instead of a standard tone pot, there is a low-cut filter that can be used to fine-tune the bass range – when turned off, the low-cut filter has no influence on the fuzz signal. The StarCrash Fuzz covers a wide range of fuzz sounds: from crumbly dying battery sounds to singing fuzz distortion sounds, everything is possible.
