Maxon OSD-9 Overdrive Soft Distortion · Guitar Effect

Based on the OD - 880 from 1977, the OSD - 9 Overdrive Soft Distortion offers a dynamic, crisp, overdrive, perfectly matched to single coils, for the player looking for an overdrive with as little sound colouration as possible.

Since the company's beginnings in the late 1960s, Maxon has built his reputation on a single concept: quality. Very early, the Maxon engineers realized that you could build everything faster and cheaper, but that it was the real goal to produce something better. This goal has led to some innovations in the music industry, such as the first realistic Tube - Amp Overdrive, the first compact analog delay, the first multieffect...
Many manufacturers have since been "inspired" by the groundbreaking concepts of Maxon, but only a few have managed to achieve Maxon's genius, determination and longevity.
Nowadays, after almost 25 years as an OEM supplier to some of the largest companies in the music industry, Maxon offers his products under his own name again. After 30 years in the music business, Maxon 's goal is to produce the best possible audio products.

Maxon Nine
The original! Maxon, a Japanese effect device manufacturer produced not only under its own brand name but also as an OEM manufacturer for other companies. The Maxon Nine series was sold in the early 80s under the label Ibanez. Pedals such as the TS-9 were best-sellers. After moving away from Ibanez, Maxon offers its pedals again in Europe under its own brand name. The Nine series corresponds largely to the vintage Ibanez 9 series, with Maxon however, you don't have to miss out on modern features such as True Bypass.
