Designed by the same team that produced the Mackie SRM450v2 loudspeaker, the active Mackie TH-15A offers Class-D Fast Recovery amplification that pushes 150-Watts of power to the bass-pounding 15-inch woofer. The Mackie TH15A Thump also has Mackie active processing, including a precision crossover, and driver time-alignment, which provides optimization for maximum system efficiency. Versatile by design, the Mackie TH-15A Thump is equipped with a user-adjustable 3-band EQ for tone control. Since it can be pole-mounted or used as a wedge, so represents the best value available for a complete stage speaker setup The Mackie Thump TH-15A 2-way active sound reinforcement loudspeaker gives you high performance with a low price tag. The Mackie Thump TH-15A features a ported bass reflex 2-way design that provides highly accurate response from 40Hz up to 20kHz and packs a big punch. A linear Class AB amp drives a 1-inch compression driver while a high efficient, light weight digital Class D switching amplifiers drive a 15-inch woofer to greater sound pressure levels with less heat than conventional linear amplifier designs. Onboard features like a 180-watt Low Frequency amp, a 60-watt High Frequency amp, defeatable +/- 15dB 3-band EQ with swept mid-range from 100Hz to 8kHz, master level control, peak overload LED indicators, and electronic system protection circuitry are packed into a road-ready, durable polypropylene enclosure. A combination Mic / Line XLR input means you can plug a dynamic mic directly into the Mackie Thump. With thermal switches in the high frequency and low frequency amplifiers, you can run your Mackie Thump speakers into clipping without fear of thermal damage. An over-excurion filter before the low frequency amp protects the 15-inch woofer from bottoming out when driven to the max. Each driver has a compressor circuit to protect the Mackie Thump from damaging transient peaks.
