Looking for a reliable and road-ready mixer? Consider the Mackie 1642-VLZ3! The Mackie 1642-VLZ3 16-Channel 4-Bus Compact Mixer continues the legacy of the best-selling 1642-VLZ Pro. Perfectly suited for line-level devices such as keyboards and drum machines, the 4 stereo pairs input channels feature four-band fixed EQ, while the mono channels utilize Mackie's proprietary three-band Active EQ, with sweepable midrange. Ten new XDR2 second-generation mic preamps, along with completely redesigned mix bus circuitry, give the Macie 1642-VLZ3 its low-noise, high-headroom functionality and superior sound. The new universal multi-voltage power supply allows it to be used anywhere in the world. Ideal for home and project studios seeking superior performance, the highly versatile Mackie 1642-VLZ3 Premium Compact Mixer is equally at home on the stage, or in the studio. The Mackie 1642-VLZ3 mixer features three types of input channels. Channels 1-8 offer mono line-level and ultra-low noise XDR2 mic preamps. Channels 9/10 and 11/12 on two channel strips offer stereo pairs of line-level inputs and a mono XDR2 mic preamp. Channels 13/14 and 15/16 on two channel strips provide stero line-level pairs with fixed 4-band EQ at frequencies optimized for keyboards, sound modules etc. Channels 1-8 feature the same 3-band active EQ with optimized center points, the lows at 80Hz and the highs at 12kHz. Midrange EQ is handled by a peaking control with a two-octave variable frequency center, meaning mids can be swept from 100Hz up to 8kHz, with a boost or cut of 15dB. For ultimate tone-shaping, Mackie designed a fixed 4-band musically-correct EQ for the remaining channels, intended for line-level signals like keyboards, sound modules, and drum machines. Other features of the Mackie 1642-VLZ3 mixer include 75Hz Low-Cut filters, four aux sends, inserts, phantom power for condenser microphones, constant-loudness pan controls, overload and signal present LEDs, sub and main mix assign switches, and an assignable AFL/PFL solo switch for ultimate control. A range of output options make the Mackie 1642-VLZ3 mixer suitable for any application with its control room / phones source matrix, master aux section with EFX to monitor, tape outputs, a high-volume headphone amplifier, channels 1-8 direct outs, and balanced XLR and balanced / unbalanced TRS outputs. Professionals world-wide choose Mackie mixers for their road-proven, time-tested design. The Mackie 1642-VLZ3 mixer features Mackie quality and is designed to take some serious abuse, yet keep on working. With Mackie's solid-steel chassis that protects it from any tough knocks, the Mackie 1642-VLZ3 mixer's control knobs sit just above the surface of the chassis, transferring knocks to the chassis and not to the circuit board. Thick, horizontally mounted fiberglass PC boards add to the Mackie 1642-VLZ3 mixer's solid construction, giving it a shock-absorbing support structure that's truly built to last.
