The RevivalDrive from Origin Effects stands out from the crowd of overdrive/preamp and amp in a box pedals - the masterminds at Origin Effects have created a pedal that reproduces all the processes and interactions of the components of a non-master tube amp in analogue form. In response to numerous customer requests, Origin Effets has released a simplified, more straightforward version of the RevivalDrive: the RevivalDrive Compact. In principle, the Compact version is a single-channel version of the large preamp. The sound of the pedal is great: open, transparent overdrive that can be perfectly controlled with the volume pot on the guitar, the direct signal can be mixed in, and the attack is retained even with strong distortion. As usual with Origin Effects, only first-class components are used. The RevivalDrive Compact is equipped with the Origin High End Buffered Bypass, which does not alter the sound.
