The Hanika Crossover PSS is a high-quality classical guitar with an Udo Roesner pickup, back and sides made from flamed thermo-treated walnut in composite construction and a slightly arched spruce top with Torres bracing. The thermo-treated alder neck, reinforced with grenadilla, has a 64 cm scale length, a 50 mm nut width and a slightly radiused fretboard with a 30-inch radius. This model is equipped with Hanika's new FusionCut, which, with a very shallow transition block, seamlessly merges into the soundboard-facing cutaway.
During development the emphasis was on creating an exceptionally easy-to-play nylon-string guitar for the crossover guitarist. In addition, it impresses acoustically with quick response, a warm nylon tone and the ability to produce a wide range of tonal colours. Built into this instrument is a newly developed passive piezo pickup by Udo Roesner located under the bridge saddle, and a 6.3 mm stereo jack recessed into the end/bridge block at the side of the guitar.
