Following the reissue of the legendary "Green Russian Big Muff" now comes the reissue of another sought-after, classic Big Muff: the OP Amp Big Muff. This version, also known as Version 4, used OP amps instead of transistors for the first time. Compared to previous transistor versions, the OP Amp version sounds rougher and snottier - a heavy and assertive fuzz/distortion sound. Electro Harmonix has kept the original circuitry, but not without a few small improvements: the Tone Bypass switch from Version 5 has been retained (the Tone pot can be taken out of the signal path, which gives a considerable boost in volume and bass), a pedalboard-friendly standard die-cast housing and a True Bypass circuit. A prominent user of the Version 4 Big Muff is Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins, who used this pedal to create his characteristic distortion sounds on the successful album "Siamnese Dream".

Fan des Pumpkins, je suis logiquement satisfait ! Le son est énorme et la qualité EHX est comme d'habitude au rdv. J'ai également un big Muff Black russian et l'Op Amp est vraiment plus crade, des basses moins prononcée mais un grain plus affirmé...Le switch du Tone permet d'obtenir un son big muff plus "soft", enfin, si c'est possible. Sur Gretsch, Strat ou PRS, le son est ENORME !
