Les guitares Slicks, du nom du guitariste de David Bowie, Earl Slick, sont conçues sur la logique du "moins, c'est plus". La SL 50 SG est une guitare de style T très classique, on dirait qu'elle a déjà des dizaines d'années de tournées à son actif à travers tous les clubs imaginables du globe... Un corps en swamp ash éraflé, un manche érable/palissandre, pas de pickguard, pas de chichis, un chevalet wraparound et deux single coils directement vissés au manche. Difficile de faire plus Rock 'n Roll !!

Diese Gitarre war ein Blindkauf auf Grund des Artikels in G&B im November 2022. Bin vom Sound und der Wertigkeit aufs Höchste erfreut und werde sie nur auf 09 - 46er Saiten einrichten. Bünde, Hals, Pickups, alles sehr, sehr gut. Eine viel teurere Fender Tele kann sich da hinten anstellen. Kann sie sehr empfehlen.

Nicht wundern wenn diese meine Bewertung mit vergleichbaren Inhalten hier bei diversen Slick Gitarren auftaucht. Ich habe mir nämlich innerhalb weniger Wochen je eine SL50, SL52, SL57 und SL60 gekauft. Das war so nicht geplant. Daraus kann man jetzt schon meine Begeisterung erkennen. In einer früheren langjährigen beruflichen Tätigkeit habe ich extrem viele sehr günstige bis ebenso vielen bis zu preislichen Highend Gitarren gehandelt. Trotz vieler Jahre Abstinenz kann ich mir daher als Wiedereinsteiger sicherlich folgendes Urteil erlauben: Wer für erstaunlich wenig Geld erstaunlich hervorragend klingende und bespielbare, authentische und eigenständige Instrumente sucht wird hier sehr sehr sehr zufrieden sein! Das trocken angespielte Resonanz Verhalten verblüfft mich jedes mal wieder aufs neue. Die Tonabnehmer sind allererste Sahne. Tele klingen nach Tele, P90 nach P90, etc. Mega!!! Die Neck Shapings und Verarbeitung, auch der Bünde, für mich ebenso. Ich empfehle zum Start eine “Bund-Reinigung” mit etwas Stahlwolle, Griffbrett-Öl (natürlich nicht bei maple…) und neue Saiten und dann kann man losflitzen. Als einziges Manko kann ich sagen: Der dünne offene Lack riecht etwas unangenehm, jedoch scheint sich das mit der Zeit zu verflüchtigen. Ich finde das die Teile auf den Fotos teilweise etwas billig ausschauen, Headstock beispielsweise. Aber das ist dann in Natura überhaupt gar nicht der Fall! Fazit: Die Teile sind wirklich RocknRoll pur! Ich kenne zzt. nichts vergleichbares mit solchem uniquen Charakter und Preis/Leistungsverhältnis sowie toller Haptik - da muss man schon deutlich (!) höhe Kurse hinblättern. Die Slicks fühlen sich nicht nach China Spielzeug oder minderwertig an sondern wie sehr erwachsene Arbeitsgeräte. Ich befürchte es werden bald noch ein paar mehr, hoffe das hier bald auch die mit den Filteron angeboten werden.
I like this guitar very much, fantastic looking with excellent sound. The nut was not mounted correctly and there was some cosmetical flaws. It is the first guitar i have bought equipped with good strings. Overall it is very good for the price.
I love this guitar. The road worn look is not normally my thing, but this has been very well done. The brass components are both cool and extremely good quality. Overall, a really cool guitar that represents great value for money. I might need another.....
The colour is one that you should have a look at, sounds great although the neck pickup is a bit soft, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I like the feel and shape of the neck, plays really well straight out of the box. Love the simplicity of the controls, a volume pot and pickup switch. Fantastic value for money, and being a Luthier, I couldn't afford to make a guitar for this price.
tbh had a minor problem with delivery, ups had temporarily lost my guitar. but i have it now and after some minor adjustments(to suit my playing style) it rings like a bell.overall i am made up with it. and i am now looking at the strat
Beautiful to look at, sounds and feels incredible. Best guitar I’ve ever had!!
So happy to have received my Earl Slick guitar, set up was perfect, plays like a dream , super fast neck , everything is great quality including the strings. I am happy to recommend these guitars to any player amateur or professional, you wont be disappointed, the tones are amazing ,,,,,,get one !!!
