A headset should be as complete and tightly aligned with the head above all, for only then a decent low end is possible. The continuous wear of a closed headphone can cause uncomfortable pressure on the ears, because there is no pressure balance between the ear cups and the environment. There are two types: with circumaural headphones the feeling of pressure is considerably lower than with a supra-aural model. Contrary to the closed headphones a soft material is used for insulation against the head. To compensate for the lack of bass pressure, the membrane and the headphone's technology is constructed way more elaborately.
