Product information "Yamaha YFL-272 SL flute"
Under the motto "The best student flute now even better", Yamaha presents the 200, 300 and 400 series.
The flutes now come in a new design with a pointed lid mechanism, as used in the professional models. The optimised pads ensure better stability and thus contribute to the improved durability of the flutes. The elegant new shape of the flap covers gives the flutes a pleasantly comfortable and natural playing feel.
Like its predecessor model, the YFL-272SL is equipped with an E-mechanism and an advanced G. The headjoint, footjoint and centre joint of the flute are made of nickel silver and are completely silver-plated. The easy response of the YFL-272SL and the radiant sound make this flute the ideal instrument for both beginners and advanced players. In contrast to the YFL-212SL, the YFL-272SL is equipped with ring keys, which provide a fuller sound and even allow quarter tones to be played. The sterling silver embouchure plate also enables a direct response in the high register and is the perfect alternative for people with a nickel allergy.
The CY headjoint:
The CY headjoint has a polyconical shape and the embouchure hole is undercut in a specific way. This ensures an excellent response and a warm, rich tone colour and helps beginners in particular to produce a beautiful sound quickly. More advanced flutists will appreciate its even and fast response in all registers.
The "E-mechanism":
The E-mechanism is an additional lever that makes the high E (e3) more precise and easier to play. It therefore facilitates intonation and provides additional playing security. The E-mechanism proved its worth many years ago, especially in the amateur and semi-professional field.
The "advanced G":
The position of the G key, known as the "advanced G", is now standard on every good flute. This key position allows the instrument to adapt to the ergonomics of the hand and not the other way round. So make sure that your flute has an "advanced G" - your fingers will thank you for it!

Yamaha or A Company That Makes Everything. In fact, you could probably list faster what Yamaha does not make. The Japan-based company, active for over 125 years, is the all-rounder among instrument manufacturers. Having started as a maker of pianos, grand pianos and even wooden furniture, the range was soon expanded considerably: Yamaha now offers keyboards, string instruments, woodwinds, drums and percussion as well as PA and studio equipment. For example, youll find steel-string acoustic guitars, electric guitars, electric basses, the popular PSR keyboards, acoustic drumkits and e-drum sets, flutes and saxophones for beginners and intermediates, as well as the popular Clavinova CLP-700 digital pianos and entertainer keyboards like the Genos or the synthesiser Yamaha MX49, plus PA equipment and studio monitors for professional needs. In any case, you can always rely on Yamaha for excellent value for money.
