This mic is fairly unrivalled when it comes down to micing bass drums or other low-frequency instruments. The Beta 91 is a permanently polarised condenser microphone that is capable of handling extremely high sound pressure levels at the same time providing excellent response and maximum punch delivered in studio quality. Its design has been specifically tailored for micing low-frequency signals and ensures powerful, rich bass reproduction. The Beta 91 offers high feedback resistance and excellent rejection of unwanted background noise which makes it an ideal microphone for live sound applications. Thanks to its slim design it doesn’t require any external mounting hardware and the rugged Triple-Flex® cable has been improved significantly compared to its successful forerunner, the SM91A.
