Roland V-Stage Series
Short & sweet
In this video you’ll learn everything you need to know about the four advanced sound engines, the intuitive operation and the exceptional playability of the V‑STAGE.
Renowned Roland sounds
The V‑Stage keyboards feature four independent sound engines that bring together the best of Roland's Behavior-Modeling and sound-generation technologies in one instrument. Each sound engine has its own dedicated area with independent controls, enabling a seamless workflow while you play.
Acoustic Piano
Rich, dynamic pianos based on V‑Piano technology, including two concert grands, an upright piano and a felt‑treated model for a unique, soft tone. Where pure sample systems often face limitations, the powerful DSP delivers natural response, unlimited expressiveness and full polyphony.
Electric Piano
The newly developed EP engine covers tine, reed and digital pianos as well as clavinet instruments, based on the latest SuperNATURAL developments. For shaping the sound there are split, octave, detune and key-touch functions, complemented by a new Sound Lift control for more presence in full-band mixes. Selectable MFX effects, a tremolo and amp simulation are also immediately accessible.
Organ
This section includes a three-tier console organ based on the renowned Roland Virtual Tone Wheel technology, two classic transistor models and a pipe organ. Controllable drawbars and percussion elements deliver an authentic organ-playing experience, further enhanced by overdrive, vibrato/chorus and a rotary speaker effect with variable speed and microphone position.
Synthesizer
Discover over 400 built‑in ZEN‑Core sounds for every musical style. Two simultaneous parts can be edited quickly and directly via attack and release, filter and other parameters. The V‑STAGE keyboards are compatible with optional ZEN‑Core patch and sound collections in the Roland Cloud, including Model Expansions based on the JUPITER‑8, JUNO‑106 and other Roland vintage analogue synthesizers (free download for registered owners).
Efficient live workflow
The ergonomic V‑Stage user interface is designed so you can make music without detours. With the combination of an intuitive layout, an informative colour LCD and practical top‑level controls you can tweak sounds in no time. Optimise tones with the Total Effects section and a wide selection of effects from the Roland library. The master area also provides an EQ and compressor to quickly and easily tailor the overall sound to the venue.
Full live control
Save and manage sounds in 512 scenes. Each scene contains a complete keyboard setup of up to five sounds and all available effects. Create chains of up to 128 scenes so you can recall them quickly and easily according to your setlist, including seamless sound transitions. The four rear connectors offer numerous external control options, including hold/damper pedals, footswitches and expression pedals. You can also use the two USB inputs to connect MIDI controllers such as the A‑49 or the A‑PRO series.
Inspirational playing feel
The V‑Stage models are fitted with highly playable Roland keyboards that let you experience the first‑class sounds of each instrument in all their detail. The V‑Stage 88 features a weighted 88‑note hammer‑action keyboard with escapement and Ivory Feel keys for an authentic acoustic piano experience. Alternatively, the V‑Stage 76 offers a newly developed 76‑key semi‑weighted waterfall keyboard for a traditional organ playing feel.
Connectivity
Connect your V‑Stage to the house PA and stage monitors. Options include balanced main outputs in XLR and 6.3 mm jack formats as well as two balanced sub outputs that can carry separate signals. Via USB‑C you can also transfer audio and MIDI data between the V‑Stage and a laptop or mobile device on stage. Plug in an XLR microphone and sing while you play. Alternatively, use the stereo line input to connect an external instrument such as a drum machine or another keyboard.

Roland was founded as a manufacturer of various musical instruments and studio equipment on 18 April 1972 in Osaka, Japan. Among the earliest products to reach the market were the first rhythm machines of the TR series, whose successors TR-808, TB-303 and TR-909 had a decisive influence on the techno, electro and hip-hop scenes. In the mid-1970s the JC-120 Jazz Chorus guitar amplifier was developed, whose ultra-clear sound together with the built-in chorus effect won over both Andy Summers of The Police and Kirk Hammett and James Hetfield of Metallica. Since then and to this day Roland have continuously expanded their catalogue across a wide range of fields such as digital pianos, grooveboxes, e-drums and synthesizers with high-quality and interesting products.
