The Marcus Deml Blue Poet Set provides all the sound nuances of a vintage Stratocaster set - but it has been spiced and matched according to Marcus Deml's personal taste with a few special ingredients. The bridge pickup sounds full and almost like excellent P-90 pickup without however ever denying its clear, classic Strat origin. The tonal facets of the mid-pickup range from pearly shimmering in the intermediate positions to the middle 60's strat-crunch when played alone. Sogart's singing high-gain sounds remain clear, as the neck pickup sounds open and free as once the legendary sounds of Blackmore, Hendrix or Gilmour. The set is - as always with Andreas Kloppmann - perfectly matched and the tonal balance is impressive.
