Il PB-05 di Optogate è un interruttore microfonico automatico con sensore ottico di distanza. Il dispositivo viene semplicemente inserito tra il microfono e il cavo. Sulla parte anteriore è presente un sensore a infrarossi attivo. Questo sensore "riconosce" quando qualcuno si trova davanti al microfono e lo accende senza alcun rumore di commutazione.
Il microfono si spegne automaticamente quando non c'è nessuno davanti al microfono. Un LED di stato rosso indica lo stato di funzionamento dell'Optogate. Il PB-05 funziona con alimentazione phantom a 48V. Anche i microfoni a condensatore possono essere utilizzati con il PB-05 senza problemi. L'alimentazione phantom viene trasmessa al microfono.
In questo modo si elimina il rumore di fondo indesiderato degli strumenti nei microfoni non utilizzati. La chiarezza e la dinamica del segnale utile aumentano significativamente grazie alla riduzione delle cancellazioni di fase e delle interferenze da altri microfoni.
L'intervallo di distanza del PB-05, in cui opera il sensore, è regolabile tra 15 e 120 cm. Quando viene attivato, il microfono si accende in meno di 0,2 secondi e si disattiva nuovamente dopo circa 1 secondo quando si esce dal raggio d'azione.

I have a few of the previous version of the PB-05 with metal casing, and needed some more. The new version has some kind of plastic casing, but it seems as rugged as the metal version, and I do not see any reason for future faults with the new design. Works as a charm on both dynamic and 48V microphones. No noise when the gate goes on and off. The sensitivity on the gate needs to be adjusted a bit higher when used with my 48V's in order to open/close on the same distanse as on dynamic microphones
It does its job properly but may not be suitable for singers. The voice transitions are very sharp. It may be more suitable for backing vocals playing drums. The sensor is on the top and the red light is distracting. If the sensor is placed below, it does not work properly, unfortunately.
Wir haben im Übungsraum mit unserem In Ear spielen das Problem mit Übersprechen vom Schlagzeug auf dem Gesangsmikro. Das Ding löst das Problem fast perfekt. Man muss sich etwas daran gewöhnen dass man nicht vor dem Mikro stehen bleibt, aber man gewöhnt sich dran. Es macht insgesamt nicht den stabilsten Eindruck und die Einstellbarkeit über Uhrmacher Schraubenzieher ist nicht gerade anwenderfreundlich. Für mich aber in Ordnung, da ich es nur einmalig machen musste.
La réactivité est moyenne. Mais avec le bon réglage de distance l'optogate fonctionne correctement sur scène. Il est dommage que ce produit soit en finition plastique. Il semble fragile.
Après utilisation d'Optogates sur plusieurs concerts, j'ai remarqué les points suivant: Le produit est en plastique et supporte mal le poids d'une XLR et du câble Des que le micro est manipulé pour être réorienté, la prise xlr de l'Optogate se plie et risque d’être arrachée . Très compliqué de l'utiliser sur des évènements avec plusieurs formation et des changement de scène. Il faudrait revoir le design et concevoir un boiter en aluminium. Et j'ai remarqué aussi que l'appareil ne fonctionne pas bien avec un instrument de musique (percussions ou objets sonores ) Fonctionne bien mais uniquement en poste fixe pour le chant.

Das Optogate ist eine geniale Entwicklung. Gerade im Einsatz auf lauten Bühnen macht es Sinn ein Optogate zu verwenden, da so verhindert wird, dass das Mikro während Gesangspausen andere Schallquellen ungewollt verstärkt. Das funktioniert auch einwandfrei. Die Einstellung des Abstands zum Sänger wird über eine kleine Schraube geregelt, die sich über die Oberseite des Optogates mit einem Mini-Kreuschraubenzieher erreichen lässt. Leider macht das ganze keinen wirklich robusten Eindruck und lässt sich auch nur sehr unpräzise einstellen. Fazit: Das Optogate erfüllt seinen Zweck perfekt, Layout und Handling lassen für diesen Preis jedoch wünschen übrig
Hallo, wer keinen Mann/Frau am Mischpult hat...freut sich über ein *automatisches* Ein/Ausschalten des Mikros...den was nicht gebraucht wird gehört aus auf der Bühne. Klappt hervorragent. Nur zu empfehlen.
Cette version économique ne convient qu'aux micros dynamiques , il n'y a pas non plus d'interrupteur pour le mettre en bypass, à part delà il fait très bien le boulot et rend bien service.
