Dopo che Bill Finnegan ha interrotto la produzione alla fine del 2009, il clone Centaur è uno dei kicker da pavimento più ricercati del pianeta. Per gli originali, a volte bisogna sborsare fino a 1500 dollari americani.
Finnegan ha lavorato su un successore negli ultimi tre anni e ora viene lanciato sul mercato in una nuova custodia. Il suono del nuovo Klon KTR Centaur è lo stesso del Centaur originale, ma con un buffer commutabile.
Il Klon KTR è un pedale overdrive medio-basso che può essere usato anche come clean boost.

The Klon KTR is, as most know, a direct decedent from the Klon Centaur. Unfortunately Bill Finnegan ran out of the original „magic“ diodes. Thankfully, the magic isn’t the sides but the carefully/thoughtfully constructed pedal. He has proven in YouTube, that the new diode pedals sound the same. I have both new and original no difference, construction the same. The only difference being, the first 1500 KTR‘s were made by JRocket, after that hand-made by Bill Finnegan and he is such a purist he doesn’t supply a bad pedal. The market is full of other good options, but this is hand-made.quality. It’s a „must have“ not a „nice to have“ in my opinion. Any good Pedalboard has a Klon Centaur/KTR and Analogman King of Tone. Pair a Klon with an OCD or Tube Screamer and you’ll not regret it. Unless of course your a head banger with brain damage.

Pédale légendaire qui ne déçoit pas. Deux ans d'attente tout de même. Et encore, j'ai eu de la chance, il n'y en avait pas pour tout le monde...
Das Pedal macht seinem Ruf alle Ehre. Sofern man einen guten Röhren-Amp spielt, veredelt das Pedal den Ton noch weiter. Es färbt den Grundton nicht ein. Es puscht positiv gefühlt einfach nur die Frequenzen des Amps. Man bekommt einen absolut cremig-singenden Ton der nur so vor Obertönen strotzt. Es macht einfach nur Spaß beim spielen auf dieses Pedal zu treten und per Anschlagsdynamik den Ton zu formen.
