Featuring a never-before-used tonewood and a host of player-focused design enhancements, the Builder's Edition 324ce represents Taylor's ongoing marriage of innovative acoustic design with forward-thinking strategy for a more sustainable future. The star here is Urban Ash ™, a tonewood sourced from urban trees that have been removed from urban environments due to weather or disease damage, public safety concerns, troublesome root systems, and simply the end of their life cycle. Rather than allow this beautiful, functional wood to end its life cycle in a landfill, it was reclaimed for use on the back and sides of this 324ce, offering a tonal response similar to high-quality Mahogany: dry and woody, with a basic strength response that produces clear notes largely free of ringing overtones. Paired with a Mahogany top, this Grand Auditorium offers a clear midrange presence and crisp highs over a rich bottom end that will satisfy strummers and fingerstyle players alike. V-Class bracing offers a distinctive blend of power and resonance that accentuates this guitar's robust midrange while creating a more musical sound.
