Pioneer DJ DJM-V10

With the new DJM-V10 it's particularly easy for you to create your very own, unique sound. The DJM-V10 is not only based on a completely new concept, it's also an entirely new type of mixer. Creative DJs can easily produce unique soundscapes. The six-channel mixing centre convinces not only with its warm and energetic sound full of presence, but also offers unique functions. With the DJM-V10 you take full control of the mix and can create something creative the crowd has never heard before.

The six channels of the DJM-V10 accept CDJs, turntables and other devices with line signals. Using the specially developed 4-band EQs you can tailor the sound to your preferences. Highs and lows can be completely removed to build a mix, for example, using just the two mid bands – each with its own curve. The brand-new filter works as a high- or low-pass filter and can be perfectly controlled via a dedicated control in each channel. Turning the control from left to right changes the sound and gives each track that special kick.

The expanded send/return section of the DJM-V10 opens up entirely new creative possibilities. Audio signals can be sent to one of the four built-in FX units and to two external effects devices. If you connect effect units, guitar pedals or other equipment to the mixer, you quickly end up with a customised setup that opens up completely new performance possibilities. The effect signals can be returned either into the respective channel or into the master output. If you return an effect signal to a separate channel, you can further process it with EQ and filter. If you connect a smartphone via MULTI I/O you can even integrate selected smartphone apps into your performance.

Every detail of the DJM-V10 has been developed with the utmost care and with the goal of achieving the best possible sound. With the new mixer you get a tool that lets you shape your sound exactly as you want. Signals processed via the six channels and FX can then be further shaped by the 3-band master isolator on the master output. Whether you need drastic tonal changes or final fine-tuning for the mix, this powerful tool can do it all. If you want to play older tracks alongside currently mastered tracks, you'll love the compressor. For the first time a compressor of this type appears in a Pioneer DJ mixer. Tracks that previously couldn't be mixed together because of differing loudness can now be used together without problems. Once the compressor in the selected channel is activated, its loudness is increased so that a balanced and natural-sounding overall mix is achieved. With the Beat FX, including the brand-new Shimmer, tracks gain more depth and harmony.

With the new booth EQ you can easily tailor the monitor sound to your preferences. Thanks to dual headphone outputs – each with its own monitor channel and level control – handovers between DJs and joint performances with other DJs are extremely comfortable and you won't have any compromise in headphone sound quality.

Outstanding sound quality
The DJM-V10 delivers a warm, natural sound that preserves every nuance of the music. 96-kHz/64-bit mixing and dithering in the DSP, a low-jitter clock and high-quality 32-bit A/D and D/A converters provide true studio quality. That guarantees a tight bass range, lively mids and precise highs.

Six channels
Six channels give you plenty of options to configure your setup individually and flexibly. In addition to connections for CDJs and turntables, samplers, synths and drum machines can also be connected to the DJM-V10. The analogue inputs for each channel are located on the top of the unit, making cabling straightforward even in a dark DJ booth.

4-band EQ
The newly developed 4-band EQ lets you shape the sound exactly as you want. The frequencies, curves and boost/cut ranges for each band were specially designed for maximum flexibility. The highs and/or lows can be completely isolated, and the two mid bands have their own curves for perfect control over every detail in the mix.

New filters with dedicated control in each channel
The newly developed filter with resonance control opens up a wide tonal spectrum: anything from subtle fine-tuning to drastic interventions is possible. By pressing a button you select the operating mode – high- or low-pass filter – and the control determines the filter amount: from fully left (no filter in the signal path) to the extreme right (maximum filter in the signal path). Because high- and low-pass are separate, the full control range is available to the selected filter. With twice the resolution (compared to the DJM-900NXS2 filter) you get much more nuanced control behaviour.

Send/return section
Via the sends, audio signals can be sent to one of the four internal FX units or to up to two external effects devices to create unique sounds and live remixes. The stereo jack connections accept guitar effect pedals, effect units or other equipment.

Integrated FX include Short Delay, Long Delay, Dub Echo and Reverb. Various parameter controls let you tailor the effects to your preferences:

• Size/Feedback: changes the perceived room size when using reverb. For delay and echo FX this controls the feedback amount.
• Time: sets the decay time of the reverb and the delay time for delays and echoes.
• Tone: alters the tonal character of the effect sound from deep and heavy to light and crisp.
• Master Mix Level: acts as the overall level for the effected sound when Master Mix is enabled.

Whether you use external effects devices or the built-in FX, the DJM-V10 gives you the choice of how the effect signals are returned into the mixer. FX signals can be routed back via a free channel so the effects can be further processed with EQ and filter, or they can go directly into the Master Mix and from there to the master output.

3-band master isolator
Thanks to the 3-band master isolator you retain simple control over the entire mix. In addition to new boost/cut curves and adjustable crossover frequencies it offers further parameters that can be changed using the large controls. This allows for dramatic tonal changes that will excite any crowd.

Compressor in every channel
If you want to play older or unmastered tracks you no longer have to worry about them getting lost next to modern, loudly produced music. The DJM-V10 has the perfect solution: each channel has a compressor switch. When pressed, the signal is compressed in real time. The quieter a track is, the stronger the effect. This ensures loud and already-mastered music remains unaffected while quieter tracks get the necessary punch.

Dual headphone outputs and booth EQ
The DJM-V10 allows you to connect two headphones simultaneously so you can, for example, mix with another DJ while still using independent monitoring signals. Each headphone output has its own cue/master mix and volume control. This is perfect for setting your monitor sound during DJ handovers or joint performances. In addition, the monitor speaker sound can be shaped with the booth EQ to help avoid ear fatigue during long sets.

RMX-1000 for iPad
If you connect an iPad via MULTI I/O and then open the RMX-1000 for iPad app, you can trigger FX and preset samples to alter tracks in sync with the beat.

ShowKontrol
The DJM-V10 supports the extended PRO DJ LINK ShowKontrol protocol. This lets DJs, tech-savvy producers, LJs and VJs use important information from the DJM-V10 such as current fader and control positions to synchronise sound and visuals. That way you can produce unique shows that thrill the audience. In addition, some settings on the DJM-V10 can be remotely controlled via the ShowKontrol software.

DJM-REC
With the DJM-REC app for iPhone or iPad you can easily record and archive mixes. You can upload sounds to cloud services or stream your sets live.
