With the Mirage Dual Engine Reverb the Greek maker Crazy Tube Circuits caused quite a stir. If you can do without stereo operation and the various routing options, the Mirage JR Single Engine Reverb pedal is just right – essentially the JR is one half of the Mirage Dual pedal. The pedal offers 16 reverb algorithms, split into two banks: Vintage/Classic with spring reverb, plate, cathedral, room, gated reverb and Inchindown (Inchindown is a legendary Royal Air Force munitions depot with huge underground caverns that create a unique, enormous reverb space) and the Ambient bank with various shimmer reverbs, echo verbs, freeze effect, infinite reverb and pitch shift. Analogue dry-mix signal path. Operation is delightfully simple: rotary knobs for the effect parameters and programme selection via rotary switch. The Mirage JR delivers studio-grade reverb – dense and intense with natural decay.
