Christoph Garwels founded C.GIG in 2013 near Bremen with the aim of creating innovative guitar designs and customized craftsmanship. With a background in carpentry and wood engineering, Christoph developed a new headless tuning system that now gives him more freedom to create unique body designs. Each guitar is precision-crafted and customized to the customer's needs in terms of sound and design, using carefully selected woods and modern technology.
Garwels, who comes from Vechta, began his career as a carpenter and later studied wood technology. After a decade in the furniture design industry, where he acquired knowledge in CAD and CNC, he now applies this knowledge in guitar making. His interest in guitar making began as a hobby in 2008 and quickly developed into a passion that led him to found C.GIG. He has been fully dedicating himself to his company since 2018. His love of metal music was a driving force that continues to motivate him to create high-quality, handcrafted guitars with innovative designs and outstanding sound.
