Product information "Shure 520 DX harmonica microphone"
The famous "bicycle lamp" from Shure is regarded as the harmonica microphone par excellence. Omnidirectional characteristics, a high-impedance capsule and a poor frequency response from a technical point of view work together perfectly for an authentic blues sound.
When connected to a guitar amplifier, the rather high signal output of the 520 DX easily causes the preamp to overdrive and distort. The unbalanced connection cable including mono jack plug is attached to the housing, and the 520 DX harp microphone also has a volume control that can also interrupt the signal path if required.
The classic par excellence and still the most widely used harmonica microphone in the world.
The frequency response of a harmonica is surprisingly wide. The lowest tones are between 70 and 150 Hz, depending on the size, while the overtones reach up to 20 kHz. However, the high overtones are not always desirable in recordings. Most musicians record the harmonica with a vocal microphone with proximity effect. As the instrument is used close to the microphone, wind noise can occur. This is particularly the case when the musician's hands completely enclose the instrument and microphone, which is often done to create certain timbres.
For blues fans with style who want to present their music authentically live, one of the following microphones is simply a must: the legendary Shure 520 D bicycle lamp or the Audix Fireball Mic. Both microphones have their advantages - the decisive factor is your own taste!

Also: ich bin zufrieden, Publikum zufrieden - Kaufempfehlung!
