In the same year she released her debut album Violet Journey and appeared as the youngest guitarist at Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival. Orianthi's international breakthrough came in 2009 when she first accompanied Carrie Underwood at the Grammy Awards and was then chosen by Michael Jackson for his farewell concerts as part of the backing band. Her second album Believe and the single According to You were successful in the US and Australia. She played in Alice Cooper's touring band from 2011 to 2014. In 2014 she was inducted into the South Australian Music Hall Of Fame. From 2014 to 2018 she played in Richie Sambora's band and recorded a studio album with him under the project name RSO.
